‘The Jack and Jill’ returns
on the 23rd April 2011

Now in its fifth year this 10-kilometre charity run or walk in the surroundings of Kenmare town is back. The Jack And Jill Run up the Hill has grown in popularity since the challenging and scenic course was first used in 2008.

Last year Pat Spillane waved off over 1000 people from the start line- to the hills. €26,000 was raised for a deserving cause. The Jack and Jill is a family friendly event and kids, buggies, grannies and doggies (on a lead) are welcome 'Monies' raised in the event for 2011 are to be donated to The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation and Bee for Battens.

Jack and Jill provide respite care for severely ill children, up to the age of four, and their families, in the Republic of Ireland, Including many in Kerry and surrounds.

Bee For Battens is a place where families and persons affected by Battens Disease can come together to help raise awareness about this devastating condition whilst providing support for one another.

The entry fee is €30.00 and € 2.00 euro for a timing chip (optional)

Under 16’s must be accompanied and can enter for a minimum of
€ 5.00

All entrants are asked to bring a friend. The run/walk is on a Saturday afternoon at 3 pm and starts and finishes in the Square Entertainment & Refreshments (Waterstation and coffee/Cookies) will be provided at the Top Of The Hill and at the finish line.
